THE DEAD CODE MUST BE ALIVE!

How can we show that our bodies are a historical archive that coexists with society? How have bodies today integrated themselves into complex digital systems?

A performance by Brigitte Huezo (choreographer and dancer), Lukas Becker (3D artist), Kerima Elfaza (3D fashion designer) and Tim Pauli (computer scientist and sound artist) as part of RESIDENCY PLUS#2 of Tanz Station – Barmer Bahnhof NEXT STATION in cooperation with INSEL e.V.

In their project THE DEAD CODE MUST BE ALIVE! the artists Brigitte Huezo, Lukas Becker, Kerima Elfaza and Tim Pauli explore the hyperreal visibility of cyberfeminism.

Dance meets programming and AI: the basic idea is a never-ending dystopian data body that is accessed through analogue and virtual elements. Through this interplay of movement and technology, the artists develop a choreographic narrative.

The performance will be followed by an audience talk with the residents as well as Thusnelda Mercy and Pascal Merighi.

21 October 2022 | 7:30pm | INSEL/ADA oben (Wiesenstrasse 6, 42105 Wuppertal)
