“Survival Kit”

What are we looking for in another person? What drives us to make or break connections? Is there a right time and do we meet each person for a reason? Encounters with another person are filled with occasions, intentions, expectations, fears, hopes and the need to interact with someone. Technology intensifies this instinct by changing the way we communicate and the way we perceive ourselves. The understanding of our own as well as the others’ identities becomes two-dimensional and turns into a pack of cards, as a stack of individual snapshots. In this way, the attempt to approach turns into card reading, reading and interpreting through the filter of one’s own desires.

“Survival Kit” is a production by Evangelos Poulinas (choreography), Lara Pilloni & Florian Entenfellner (performance) and Marco Girardin (music composition), which will celebrate its premiere in March 2023.
