How can visual communication creatively support a dance composition process? Is dance and music notation also graphic design? How can notation influence our body perception?

These and many other questions are researched in Syncopated Conversations, a project for creative methods in performing and visual arts. It is about the constant dialogue between dance, performance, music, design, room and body perception, notation systems and so on. The aim is to bring artists from different areas together and create a collection of interdisciplinary tools.

In the current phase of the project we are working with dance and music notation in order to create variations in time, energy and origin of movement. The results will be exhibited in syncopatedconversations.com
