The series of events “Kunst Erwarten” invites you to rediscover Barmer railway station with fresh eyes. Visual art, music and performance transform the venue into a stage for surprising encounters and new perspectives.

This time, you can look forward to artistic presentations, a balcony concert and a station talk by and with: Ralf Silberkuhl (photographer and filmmaker), Dr Mariam Muwanga (lecturer in English language practice and Anglophone literatures, University of Wuppertal), and Simon Below (musician).

With the series “Kunst Erwarten”, Next.Impuls e.V., in collaboration with Tanz Station – Barmer Bahnhof, invites you to rediscover art in public spaces during the second half of 2026. Following on from the successful formats “Warten mit Kunst” (2024) and “Aufwartung mit Kunst” (2025), Thusnelda Mercy, Pascal Merighi, Andrea Raak, Ralf Silberkuhl and Andreas M. Wiese continue their artistic exploration of the railway station as a place of encounter.
