The series of events “Kunst Erwarten” invites you to rediscover Barmer railway station with fresh eyes. Visual art, music and performance transform the venue into a stage for surprising encounters and new perspectives.
This time, you can look forward to artistic presentations and a station talk by and with: Andreas M. Wiese (visual artist), Anna-Lena Geisel (research associate at Museum Industriekultur) and Werner Dickel (Professor of Viola and Chamber Music).

With the series “Kunst Erwarten”, Next.Impuls e.V., in collaboration with Tanz Station – Barmer Bahnhof, invites you to rediscover art in public spaces during the second half of 2026. Following on from the successful formats “Warten mit Kunst” (2024) and “Aufwartung mit Kunst” (2025), Thusnelda Mercy, Pascal Merighi, Andrea Raak, Ralf Silberkuhl and Andreas M. Wiese continue their artistic exploration of the railway station as a place of encounter.
The next event will take place on 11 October 2026, featuring new artistic approaches (among others by Ralf Silberkuhl) and surprising insights centred on the theme of ‘expectation’.
