The series of events “Kunst Erwarten” invites you to rediscover Barmer railway station with fresh eyes. Visual art, music and performance transform the venue into a stage for surprising encounters and new perspectives.

The opening will take place on Sunday 12 July at 4:00pm: a work by the artist Andrea Raak, text by Sabine Leibold and a performance by tanzcHor60+ under the direction of Hilde Kuhlmann and Anna Wehsarg will combine image, language, sound and movement to create a unique experience.

With the series “Kunst Erwarten”, Next.Impuls e.V., in collaboration with Tanz Station – Barmer Bahnhof, invites you to rediscover art in public spaces during the second half of 2026. Following on from the successful formats “Warten mit Kunst” (2024) and “Aufwartung mit Kunst” (2025), Thusnelda Mercy, Pascal Merighi, Andrea Raak, Ralf Silberkuhl and Andreas M. Wiese continue their artistic exploration of the railway station as a place of encounter.

Further events will follow on 6 September (Andreas M. Wiese) and 11 October (Ralf Silberkuhl), each featuring new artistic approaches and surprising insights centred on the theme of ‘expectation’.
