Riyadhus Shalihin is an artist/researcher based in Bandung, Indonesia, who creates artworks inspired by site-specific archives, objects and memories. He uses drawings, photography, film and a performative approach as part of the story.
On this evening at Tanz Station, Riyad will present the Sasikirana Dance Camp – a platform for promoting young talents in contemporary dance and performing arts in the Asian region, particularly in Indonesia. There is also an international artistic connection to Tanz Station – Barmer Bahnhof: artistic directors Thusnelda Mercy and Pascal Merighi worked together with young dancers as mentors at the Sasikirana Dance Camp this summer.
In addition, you can expect insights and background information about Riyad’s current projects and the opportunity to exchange ideas.
