This workshop explores the question of whether observing improvisation is similar to experiencing a landscape. After all these years, it’s become clear to me that improvisation must be viewed the way one views a landscape. It’s a question of exchange, of immersion—physically and perceptually—and of the forms of mapping. So how can we perform landscape? How should the body move when it’s viewed as rain?
