This 1.5-hour workshop focuses on wordless communication through movement – experienced in a playful and dance-like way. Building on the basics of Finnish (folk) dances, as shown in the “Lavatanssit”-Performance, traditional steps are combined with a contemporary dance background.

Simple movements and live music create access to the magic of the Finnish dance tradition and the special feeling of community – a dance encounter. The focus is on an uncomplicated introduction to the Finnish folk dances that are part of the “Lavatanssit” performance. Starting with basic movements and steps, participants will be given the tools they need to quickly dance in connection with others. The workshop is open to anyone who enjoys movement and music.

The workshop is aimed at anyone interested and is also open to those without previous experience or participation in the performance. It is advisable to bring an accompanying person.
