Why do humans insist on the concept of ‘home’? – This raw question sparked a growing curiosity, evolving into the core of a singular creation. Embarking on a journey to encapsulate its essence into a work of art, we seek to merge the realms of performing and visual arts, weaving together a tapestry that delves into the enigma of human attachment to physical spaces.

“Tanz meets …” Special #2 is a collaboration between Tanz Station – Barmer Bahnhof (Wuppertal) and Studio Pro Arte (Freiburg). Meggie Malou as well as the duo Gaeun and Elias will rehearse for one week in Wuppertal and one week in Freiburg in November 2023. After that, they will present their results during the Herbsttanztage (“Autumn Dance Days”) at Studio Pro Arte.

The residents will receive artistic support and mentoring as an “outside eye” from Thusnelda Mercy & Pascal Merighi (merighi | mercy company) and Chantal Kohlmeyer (Studio Pro Arte, Frei Art Festival).
